I bought this car second hand and was warned against getting an alfa.
They are know to be troublesome cars but I took the risk.
Shortly after getting it I had the engine completely rebuilt, after that I didnt look back.
It had amazing torque and a large powerband - the drive was smooth and clean but it was the noise that got me excited. The engine gave a lovely little growl when you put your foot down.
But is the price worth the drive?
To maintain the car was VERY VERY expensive, over and above the normal servicing there was the tyres, shocks and breaks to consider and Alfa's enjoy eating these items.
After a few years I could feel it was time to let her go, they get to a point where no matter how much money you throw at it it still wants to die.
Trade in on this car was pretty dismal - no one wants to touch an old alfa.
