Bought my IS 200 second hand 2 years ago. My only real gripe is the economy. - It is a thirsty beast. The 2l 114Kw motor pulls reasonably well, though the 4 speed auto box could do with an extra gear - 2nd to 3rd drops you below the vvti power band range unless you are hammering it. Comfort is awesome and styling is superb for an older Lexus. The 200is is a good looking car, as opposed to many of the other old Lexus models that are decidedly ugly. Handling is good with very little body roll and traction control to correct any overzealous power use. The tail seems a little light in high speed cornering, but then this was never going to be a racing car. As a long distance cruiser or a lazy round towner this car is superbly comfortable. Just be sure you have the cash to afford the fuel bill. 12 - 13 l/100Km average in mixed driving.
