I drove 5 different Alfa's over a period of about 12 years. No major problems, exciting cars. But then I changed to Subaru, they gave be a much better deal than Alfa was willing on what would have been by 6th and I was convinced that the car would last forever and be ultra reliable. Not so, 2 clutches, wheel bearings, problems with pully's that broke the engine cover, having to put it on a flatbed to the workshop in Bruma 3 times. No definately not as reliable as I would have liked. None of my Alfa ever suffered the indignation of riding on a flatbed. But its a great car to drive, enough power without going overboard, very fuel efficient for it's size, 7.8 to 8.2 per 100, bags of room and great to transport stuff if you put the back seats down. Comfortable and even after nearly 6 years looks pretty good. The paintwork and interior still excellent. I guess I got a Monday job, but I thought the Japanese did not suffer from that.
